We think of the zoo when we have children, because what child doesn’t love animals ? But as an adult, animals are so soothing and therapeutic, bringing us back to those childhood days. This particular zoo has many amenities that others do not offer. There are picnic tables everywhere, many public bathrooms that are well kept and clean, small cottage eateries throughout the zoo, a deli you can get fresh foods. During these blistering days, they provide complimentary cooler jugs of water to help yourself. There are all kinds of rides from trains to their Skyfari Sky Rides. It’s just an all around fun-filled day. Seasonal events do happen and there is a schedule you can check year-round to attend. Plus, it’s not far away. Wednesdays are Senior Discount Day ! The admission cost is worth every penny. The zookeepers are friendly and informative and are always happy to share their knowledge. Mark a date on the calendar anytime of the year ! I promise you will love Southwick’s Zoo !

We hope you enjoyed this adventure ! There were a lot more animals we saw but have not included, because you’d be scrolling for days. This zoo is our favorite by far. FYI, we spent about 5 hours here. So pack yourself some energy drinks.
They are open year around, seven days a week, 10 to 5. Wednesdays are senior discount days. Happy zoo time !
