Even though Oakland Beach is a well known popular location, I have to think not everyone knows the entire scope of this oceanfront attraction. Our favorite spot to enter is in a quiet neighborhood. There is parking and the signs warn of not parking during certain months, we park year round with no problem. The police do circle through but do not disturb the cars. So once you park, just begin this walk on the pathway which eventually turns into a boardwalk behind Iggy’s Restaurant. The walk continues on a smooth pathway, lined with park benches complete with a full ocean view. And it doesn’t stop there ! There is another hidden beach front through a sandy path at the end of the large parking lot. You can meander to the end on the left to find the boat launch. There are grassy areas to sit to watch the comings and goings of boats of all sizes. The length of this walk is up to you. The terrain is easy everywhere. Are you ready ?
